Why We Started
Al-Farahidi School of Arabic was established in Lahore, Pakistan, with a vision to fill a clear gap: accessible, high-quality Arabic instruction that prepares students not just for religious study, but for the modern professional world.
We observed that while demand for Arabic was growing — driven by Pakistan’s trade ties with Arab nations and a rising number of Pakistanis seeking work in Gulf countries — there were few institutions offering structured, practical, modern Arabic education.
Our founders set out to change that. With a small team of dedicated teachers and a clear curriculum structure, Al-Farahidi School opened its doors as a fully online institution, making quality Arabic education available to anyone in Pakistan — and beyond.
Since our founding, enrollment has grown steadily each term. We are proud of the community we are building — one student at a time.

Who Was Al-Farahidi?
Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad al-Farahidi (الخليل بن أحمد الفراهيدي) was one of the greatest Arab linguists and scholars in history, born in Oman in 718 CE. He is credited with inventing the system of Arabic diacritical marks (tashkeel) that we still use today — making the Arabic language readable and teachable to non-native speakers across the world.
By naming our school after him, we honour a man who devoted his life to making the Arabic language accessible to all — a mission we continue in our own way, in our own time.
